Stijn is an associate at Vanguard International Dispute Resolution, specialised in investment arbitration and commercial arbitration, acting as counsel and arbitral secretary in disputes in a variety of sectors, including tech, energy, telecom & media, mining and construction & engineering. Stijn has acted in proceedings conducted under the arbitration rules of the HKIAC, ICC, PCA, SIAC, as well as under the UNCITRAL Rules.
Stijn has won the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court East of 2019 as counsel on the best team in the oral rounds held in Hong Kong in 2019.
Stijn is admitted to the New York Bar. He has obtained an LL.M as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Law School as well as an LL.M in Dutch Private Law (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam. He completed his secondary education at United World College.
