Louise Sura is an arbitration associate at Vanguard International Dispute Resolution.
Her practice focuses on commercial and investment arbitration under the rules of major arbitral institutions (including ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL and DIS), as well as annulment and enforcement proceedings and related litigation. She advises private companies, States and State-owned entities in disputes arising in a diverse range of jurisdictions. Her practice covers a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on construction, energy and natural resources, and healthcare.
Louise also teaches Contract Law at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Prior to joining Vanguard International Dispute Resolution, Louise practiced for two years as an associate in an international law firm in Paris. She also gained experience as a trainee in leading law firms in Paris, New York and Hamburg, as well as at the ICC. She gained further experience at the International Commercial Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal, where she worked on a number of set-aside proceedings.

- Representing a European government in an ICC arbitration against various European and US entities of an international company arising out of a concession agreement in the healthcare sector.
- Representing a Senegalese company in an ICC arbitration against a French construction company over an infrastructure project.
- Representing an African company in two ICC arbitrations relating to a mining project in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Representing a French construction company in an ICC arbitration against an African public entity arising out of the termination of a road construction contract in Central Africa.
- Representing a French state-owned industrial company in an ICC arbitration against an African state-owned electricity company arising out of a technical services agreement.
- Representing a German industrial company in a DIS arbitration against a German state-owned energy company arising out of a coal supply agreement.
- Representing a German investor in the energy sector in an ICSID arbitration against a European State arising out of the phase out of coal fired power generation.
- Representing a Lebanese investor in an ICSID arbitration against the Republic of Armenia in connection with the expropriation of waste management contracts.

- Representing a Mongolian cement producer against a Chinese construction company in annulment proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeal.
- Representing a US investor active in the hydrocarbons sector against a Latin American State in annulment proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeal.
- Representing an air carrier in connection with conservatory and enforcement measures over an aircraft before several French courts.
- Representing a crypto asset platform in a liability claim against its staking services provider following a cyber-attack affecting the staking services.
